RESEARCH EXPERIENCE
My research examines the effects of emerging technology, advertising, and family communication on physical and psychological well-being, with a strong emphasis on community engagement and social impact. By employing both quantitative and qualitative methods, I hope to contribute to academic scholarship and real-world applications, advancing media literacy and health communication. My work has been published in peer-reviewed journals such as Journal of Family Communication, Journal of Advertising Education, Journal of Social and Personal Relationships, Health Communication, International Journal of Communication, and Social Media + Society. Notably, my co-authored paper, “A Tale of Four Platforms: Motivations and Uses of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Snapchat among College Students,” has garnered over 1,500 citations, reflecting its significant impact in the field. My paper abstract was recently recognized as a Top Paper Abstract at the 2025 Midwinter AEJMC Conference in Oklahoma.
